Switch to Year-Round Paychecks!

Avoid the summer pay gap. Get paid every month.

If you’re on a compensation schedule that leaves summer months without paychecks, EdiFi can help you maintain access to consistent deposits into your account.

Simply set up Direct Deposit and indicate how much of your paycheck you want automatically allocated to your summer pay account (minimum of 10% recommended).

Your choice:

Summer Pay (1) – funds are disbursed in one lump sum OR
Summer Pay (5) – funds are disbursed every 2 weeks for a total of 5 payments

Disbursements start on July 1st. On the scheduled dates, funds are transferred directly into your designated EdiFi account and are available for immediate withdrawal.

Summer Pay Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1

Start your EdiFi CU membership two ways: Join online or walk into a local branch. You can also open an EdiFi checking account allowing you easy access to your funds.

Reminder: All members are required to open a primary share savings account with a minimum deposit of $5.00. The minimum deposit of $5 must be maintained to keep your account in good standing.

Step 2

At account opening, let a member of our team know you are also interested in opening a Summer Pay Account.

Step 3

Add your EdiFi Credit Union account as a direct deposit. You will need your EdiFi CU account number and routing number, both of which are provided at the time you open your membership account. Direct Deposit of your check will usually start within 14 days.

Note: EdiFi NO LONGER provides a Payroll Deduction Form. Refer to your payroll coordinator for your school payroll procedures for direct deposit.

Step 4

Download the EdiFi mobile banking app to view/manage your accounts throughout the school year. On July 1st, your Summer Pay disbursements will automatically transfer into your primary savings or checking account.*

*Note: Having an EdiFi checking account will allow you to easily move funds to other financial institutions.

To access your funds on July 1^st :

Debit card - Surcharge-free ATM locator is available online. Shop or pay bills with your debit card.
EdiFi checking account holders can transfer money by using Zelle^® or by sending external transfers within Bill Pay.
Walk into a local branch to withdraw.
Request a check in Online Banking.
- Go to Account Details/More Actions/Check Withdrawal.
- Enter amount, review and submit.

Follow these steps to open up a Summer Pay savings account:

Visit a local branch or contact a member of our team to open the Summer Pay Account.
Follow Step 3 above.

Non-NJ Members:

Mail the Member Service Request Form, a copy of your Driver’s License, and a $5.00 initial deposit to:
